Help & FAQ
Everything you wanted to ask
Prints, fabric, fit and care — the questions we are asked most often. If yours is not here, write to us at atelier@chhaap.in and a real person will reply.
How are Chhaap prints made?
Every motif is carved into a seasoned teak block by hand, then stamped and dyed by printers in Bagru, Rajasthan and Kutch, Gujarat. We use natural resist techniques and print in short runs so the motifs stay crisp.
What does the fabric feel like?
Soft, breathable cotton, chosen so the print sits well against the body and the piece only gets softer with wear.
Which size should I pick?
Our tops run from S to XL, and every product page carries its measurements. If you are between sizes, size up for a relaxed fit — or message us and we will help you choose.
How do I care for a hand-blocked piece?
Hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent, dry in the shade and iron on the reverse. Natural dyes settle over time, so a little colour in the first wash is normal.
Where do you ship from?
Every order is packed and dispatched from our Jaipur studio. Tracking reaches your inbox as soon as the parcel leaves us.
Can I return or exchange something?
Yes — write to atelier@chhaap.in within a week of delivery with your order number and we will sort out an exchange or return.
