Our Story
Hand-blocked cotton, printed slowly in India
Chhaap began with a small frustration: Indian block prints were being saved for weddings and kept behind glass. We wanted them on a Tuesday. So we started printing our own — on soft cotton, in short runs, with printers in Bagru and Kutch.
From carved block to finished top
Each motif is carved into seasoned teak, stamped by hand and dyed with a natural mud-resist before the cloth is washed, sun-dried, cut and stitched. Nothing about the process is fast, which is exactly the point.

What Our Customers Say
Prints with a long life, not a short season
We keep our runs short and our fabrics honest. Buy one piece, wear it for years, and let the print soften with every wash.
